I worked with Third Coast Percussion as part of their 2014 Emerging Composers Partnership.  The piece is scored for four small drum sets.  Automatic Glitch was composed using production techniques from glitch electronic music.  I began by recording electronic drum parts and timestretching them, in some cases to extreme degrees such that the result was a grainy, warped version of the original.  I then rescored this for the acoustic drum sets, including all the glitchy artifacts.
