Kudzu Vine is a bit of a anomaly in my output.  I've never written anything like it.  Most works for concert band are written at the piano with forethought about style and technique.  This piece was written on electric guitar, shirtless in the summer heat.  The result is a Southern Rock tune with catchy melodies played loudly by the large portions of the band.  It's a fun, short, Pep-band-esque piece which can be done unconducted, as was the case in the premiere by Appalachian State University's Symphony Band.
